Midwife means "with woman." Our goal is to create a birthing journey with our clients, to support their vision for a healthy home birth.
Carrie LaChapelle has practiced midwifery in Upstate, SC for over 15 years. She began attending births 17 years ago as a doula before graduating from the South Carolina School of Midwifery. She is licensed by the State of South Carolina and by (NARM), the National Association of Registered Midwives. She is a certified preceptor for students of midwifery. Carrie completed the EMT-Intermediate program in Emergency Medicine (EMS) at Greenville Technical College, as well as being trained as a Newborn Specialist from the Newborn Training Academy.
Carrie serves as a chapter leader for Upstate BirthNetwork all while being the mother to six children of her own.
